Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Level 1 Field Service Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals who have a strong technical foundation and are looking to grow in the medical imaging field. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of experience working as a biomedical engineering technician or with general X-ray equipment.

 

What You’ll Do:
• Assist with inspections, calibrations, installations, and basic repairs on radiology imaging equipment, including X-ray systems
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues using diagnostic tools and hands-on support
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to support equipment performance and safety standards
• Use power tools, testing devices, and manufacturer documentation to complete service tasks
• Learn to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and OEM support staff
• Support field engineers during equipment demos or in-service training for medical staff
• Stay engaged with industry best practices and company-led training programs
• Travel as needed to support healthcare facilities across the region and nation

 

What You’ll Need (Requirements):
• Associate degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field – or equivalent technical experience
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a biomedical engineering or field service role, ideally within the diagnostic imaging industry
• Basic knowledge of X-ray or imaging equipment preferred (but not required)
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude; comfortable using hand tools, test equipment, and computers
• Willingness to learn medical terminology, safety protocols, and industry standards
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flexible and dependable with a strong work ethic
• Willing to travel frequently, sometimes with short notice
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
